37th Operation Olave - Guide, Pathfinder Overnight Hike and Camping Event! 

When: Saturday May 24th, 2025 to Sunday May 25th, 2025
Where: AYR Motor Center, Woodstock, New Brunswick
Who: Guides, Pathfinders, Rangers & Unit Guiders
Cost: $20.00 (Incl. Tax) per person 
Payment will be initiated by a staff member at National via Unit Bank Transfer. No action is required on the units part.

Come take part in the 37th Annual Operation Olave (Woodstock, New Brunswick.)

This overnight hike for Guide and Pathfinder units takes place on a mapped out route with Challenge Stations to be completed along the way. Starting at 7:30pm and ending at midnight. Rangers are invited to host Challenge Stations.

Guide, Pathfinder and Ranger units will camp at Connell Park Campground beside Connell Park, AYR Motor Center and Y's Men Club areas where the hike is held.

Bring your Girl Guide Spirit: Be prepared to have fun!

Additional Details: 

  • Saturday afternoon Guide, Pathfinder Units and Rangers set up camp at Connell Park Campground. Unit checkin/registration opens Saturday at 4pm at AYR Motor Center Headquarters. Units are responsible for their own meals and snacks on Saturday. Opening Ceremony at 6 pm with Hike starting at 7:30 pm till midnight. 
     
  • Each Guide and Pathfinder Unit arranges Girl Teams: up to 4 girls per team. Girl Teams are either Guide or Pathfinder level, not mixed. Girl Teams can include girls from multiple Units. ***Please reach out to us if your unit needs assistance coordinating with another unit for team numbers.  
     
  • Sunday morning warm breakfast is provided and awards ceremony. Awards and Medals are based on Girl Team scores accumulated at Challenge Stations during the hike. Units will be responsible for travel to and from Breakfast Sunday morning as this is too far to walk. 

***Note: Units have the opportunity to arrive a day earlier to make this a 2 night camp for girls. Units are responsible for Safe Guide paperwork for the additional night.
