City of Calgary is excited to host the first ever Girl Guides Day! Get ready for fun with activities, games, and know-how in the unique Atrium space within the Municipal Building. Cool interactive displays will engage and delight. A sneak peek includes: 
- Wise Whiskers - learning animal body language 

- Firefighting tools and gear 

- STEM showcase

- Women in Engineering 

- Ready Squad - teaching emergency preparedness 

- And much much more.... 

There will also be a focus on female leadership and the many different roles and career opportunities within local government. Some special surprise guests will be stopping by too! Bring a backpack with water and a nut-free lunch as there will also be some great things to take home. 

The event is from 10am - 2pm and we encourage units to take the train, which drops off right across from the Municipal Building. More details will be provided in mid-March. 

Additional Information: 

• Units, please register enough Guiders for "Green" level supervision 
• Units are responsible for their own safe guide paperwork, if they plan to do anything outside of their 10am-2pm event 
• Everyone should bring a backpack, nut-free lunch, snack, and water bottle for the day
