Calgary Area Fireworks 2026

Date: Saturday, February 21, 2026

Time: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Location: GMC Stadium - Stampede Park (Calgary) 

Who: Sparks, Embers, Guides, Pathfinders, Rangers, Trex & Unit Guiders
Open to all Areas

Cost: $5 per person 

Registration Opens: December 2, 2025 at 10 a.m. MST 

Registration Deadline: February 2, 2026 at 11:55 p.m. MST

Please note it's not required to include all names and iMIS numbers of Guiders/Youth at this time.

We're excited to celebrate Thinking Day with you in this 5th Annual Area Event! There will be fun activities with more locations, a dance party, and of course fireworks! 

This year, Thinking Day Coin Donations will go towards our exciting new Friendship Project at Camp Jubilee. We will announce the total donations raised and the District winner for this year's highest donations a few days after the fireworks.

Cost is $5 per person (Youth, Adult Member, Female Volunteers over ratio). Payment will be by unified bank transfer, initiated by staff, after the event.

Guider Package 

Changes to your number of participants can be emailed to events@girlguides.ca. Decreases will be accepted up until January 29th. Increases will be accepted up until February 19th, as space permits. 

Please bring two identical attendee lists of all attending participants (Youth and Adults) and hand a single copy to the volunteer check-in. Do not email this list before the event.

Units are responsible for providing enough supervisors for a Green Level Ratio. Safe Guide ratios are as follows: Sparks and Embers 1:8; Guides, Pathfinders, and Rangers 1:15

Unit Packages will be available for pick up from the Guide Centre in February, details to come.
