Craft and Cookie Day with Michaels

Who Can Attend:  Sparks, Embers, Guides, Pathfinders, Rangers, Trex and  Adults

Location:  Various Michaels Canada locations across Ontario

Be part of Girl Guides' Crafts and Cookies with Michaels taking place at participating Michaels stores on Saturday, Oct 3.

Description:

This collaboration with Michaels Canada offers your unit a prime sales spot to raise funds for adventures ahead!  

Each Michaels store location will have multiple two-hour time slots available, with one unit per shift. Please select only one time slot at one store to ensure as many units as possible can participate. 

If you’d like to request an additional time slot, please email registration@girlguides.ca. You’ll receive an email once your slot is confirmed.   

All sale locations will be outdoors. Please remind your unit to dress appropriately for the weather. Michaels staff will let units know the exact spot to set up on the day of the event. 

Units can have a maximum of six Girl Guide members (including Guiders) at their table. If more members would like to attend, please create a schedule for your unit to ensure there are only six members helping with the sale at a time. 

What to bring:

• Cookies
• Table (4 ft. long or smaller)
• Chairs 
• Sales materials (float or Square, table-cloth or camp blanket)
• If you’ll be the first unit selling, please bring the promotional postcards, bookmarks and branded lanyard you receive in the mail. 

To add to the fun, Michaels will have a craft station available (while supplies last) for units and members of the community to enjoy. 

Please note your name and unit will be shared with the Michaels store manager. We will also provide you with their contact information in your confirmation email. 

Safe Guide (green) 

• This is a green level event. The event planning team will make no safe guide submission. 
• Guiders, please provide parents/guardians with the following forms:  SG.1, SG.2, and H.1 forms.
• Guiders, please distribute the H.2 form to the adult participants.
• Guiders must bring completed SG.2, H.1, and H.2 forms to the event.
