Join Newfoundland and Labrador Council for our first-ever Free Being Me Provincial 3rd Year Pathfinder and Ranger Sleepover!

Free Being Me (FBM) is a program from the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) that promotes body confidence and a world free from appearance-related anxiety. This program helps youth learn that body confidence and self-esteem come from valuing their bodies, challenging beauty stereotypes, and advocating for a healthy body image in their friends and communities.

This weekend will be full of activities celebrating all the amazing things our bodies can do for us, increasing our self-confidence, making new friends, and sharing in the global guiding sisterhood. We hope your Pathfinders and Rangers can join us!

The registration fee covers all meals, program materials, accommodation, and a Free Being Me badge.

This event is open to youth members born between 2009 and 2012, who will be between 14 & 17 years old at the time of registration.

Sleepover Extras:
In addition to the program, these are some extras Pathfinders and Rangers can expect at camp:

Bring an Outfit you Feel Confident In! - At the FBM party on Saturday night youth are invited to wear something that makes them feel confident. This could be anything from a formal outfit to pjs; from traditional dress to a dance recital costume. We will start the party by having a fashion show where everyone can walk the runway in whatever outfit they choose.

Sleepover Challenges - A series of optional challenges that, upon completion, will award the camper a different coloured bead that are then used in completing a hat craft. Try and collect them all!

Mindful Colouring Sheets – There will be colouring sheets and markers/paper available for youth to use during quiet/snack time, or in general.

Positive Camper Messages – We will have envelopes with each youth’s name on it. Participants will write positive messages for their fellow campers and place them in the envelops during the weekend.
