Outdoor Activity Leadership Program (OAL) Adventure Camping – Modules 1,3,5,6

Have you completed the TEAM Tent Camping modules or have equivalent experience and are looking to expand your knowledge to the next step? Then this is for you!

The OAL Adventure Camping modules provide a formal training that will build your knowledge, skills and capacity for adventure camping which will enable you to meet the Safe Guide requirements for leading adventurous camping trips for girls.

Modules included during this session: Trip Design and Structure, Leadership Styles and Group Dynamics, Adventure Camping Gear and Adventure Camping Food.

Date: 9:30 AM Saturday March 23rd – 1:00 PM - Sunday March 24th, 2024 (includes evening session)
Location: Calgary Area Guide Centre, Calgary
Registration Deadline: March 14th, 2024
Cost: $62.00 + GST

Accommodation: Space is available at the Guide Centre for anyone needing accommodation Friday, March 22 and/or Saturday, March 23, 2024. Please keep in mind, it is floor space only. You are welcome to bring cots or sleeping pads. 

Meals: You are responsible for all meals except for Saturday supper which will be covered in the Adventure Camping Food module. You are encouraged to bring some snacks and alternatives if you have food allergies or restrictions.
