Outdoor Council of Canada Leadership Course! 


When: Saturday April 12th, 2025 &  Sunday April 13th, 2025 
Time: 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Both Days
Where: MB Provincial Office (222 - 530 Century St.) & Labarriere Park 
Who: Adult Members
Cost: $187.50 (Incl. Tax) if there are more than 10 participants. $250.00 (Incl. Tax) if less than 10 participants
$187.50 due upon registration. Registrants will be notified after registration deadline to pay remainder if required.
Registration Opening: March 15th, 2025 @ 9:00 A.M. Central
Registration Deadline: April 6th, 2025 @ 11:55 P.M. Central

Guiders!

Are you interested in enhancing your camping and outdoor leadership skills? Are you interested in taking your unit hiking but unsure of how to start or prepare? Wilderland Adventure Company is offering us a 2-day Field Leader Certification Course.

We will take a systematic approach to planning and managing a hiking activity for one day. To be hiking leaders, participants should have hiking experience and able to fully participate in a low risk hiking environment on a designated hiking trail. Participants must have ability to hike up to 6 hours. Most of the course will take place in a classroom setting with 4-6 hours on a local hiking trail.

April 12th 9:00am - 5:00pm session will be held at the Provincial Office (530 Century st.)
April 13th 9:00am - Morning session will be held at the Provincial Office (530 Century st.)
April 13th - Afternoon hike at Labarriere Park.

Carpooling to and from Labarriere Park can be coordinated on the day of. 

Province will cover $40.00 for participants. Please submit your invoice to mb-fundaministrator@girlguides.ca

Bring: A lunch and snacks for yourself for both days, dress for the weather on April 13th
