Rally Across BC - ROAR on the Shore

Date: Sunday May 26, 2024

Time: 10am - 3pm

Location: Kinsman Field North (North Vancouver) 

Who: Sparks, Embers, Guides, Pathfinders, Rangers, Trex & Guiders 

Cost: $10.00

Registration Opens: March 5, 2024

Registration Deadline: April 15, 2024

ROAR on the SHORE is an opportunity for all levels to trade their treasures with other groups. Bring your crafts, badges, pins etc. There will also be a Fun Zone for everyone to enjoy. Your District is invited to create a Flag celebrating all of the units in that District. These will be on display all day long. 

 

Flag: 

  • Each District is encouraged to design and create their own banner. These will be on display all day long. 
  • Should be on a heavier material like cloth or tarp (paper will easily rip) 
  • Each should be on a pole that can be zip tied to the perimeter fence after opening ceremonies. Volunteers will have tools/materials needed to attach them to the fence. 
  • It should include your District name and all Units belonging to your District.
  • Be creative! 

Transportation: 

  • We encourage people to carpool to help reduce congestion during drop-off and pick-up. 
  • If you are driving, please park where we are assigned. 
  • Buses will be given special instructions. 

Facility: 

  • Gates will open at 10am
  • Opening Ceremonies at 10:30am | Closing Ceremonies at 2:30pm
  • Districts are to be accounted for and ready to enter together - staggered entry will not be permitted. 
  • No In/Out privilege's will be allowed 
  • Water stations are available - everyone is encouraged to arrive with a full water bottle. 
  • No onsite concession is available. 
  • No camp stoves or BBQ's will be allowed on site. 
    • This is a large field with no seating or cover/shade available. Pop-up style tents and blankets are recommended for your patrol. 
  • No pets are allowed at the site. 
  • Please no toys 

To Note: 

  • This will be a green level activity - yellow level ratio's are recommended 
  • All patrols must provide their own first aider and the minimum required ratio based on the branch(es) of youth they are registering. 
  • Patrols with parent helpers must have them registered as non-member volunteers (A7 form) prior to the event. 
  • Full Kit List will be provided to all registered groups prior to the event date.
