Description:

The theme of this World Thinking Day is “Our World, Our Thriving Future: The environment and global poverty”. Our aim is to learn about the link between poverty and environmental instability while teaching our youth members about food instability, nutrition, and self-sufficiency. We will be teaching the youth members how to cook a rice and chickpea dish and learning about rice and beans as an important (and economical) food staple worldwide. 

 

Safe Guide 

  • The Safe Guide submission for this event will be handled by the event planning team on behalf of the units participating in the event.
  • Guiders are responsible for providing parents/guardians with SG.1SG.2, and H.1 forms.
  • Guiders are responsible for completing the H.3 Medication Plan and Administration Record.
  • Guiders are responsible for ensuring that adult participants receive the H.2 form.
  • Guiders must bring completed SG.2, H.1, and H.2 forms to the event.

Guider Responsibilities

Before the event: as noted in the Safe Guide section, Guiders are responsible for distributing and collecting appropriate paperwork for the participants attending from their unit. 

At the event: Guiders are responsible for supervising their own unit.

Payments

By submitting a registration, you indicate that you've reviewed and agree to the Event Registration Terms & Conditions.  Payment for this event may only be made by unit bank transfer. Payments do not take place automatically; please allow up to 5 days for processing.

Refunds
All requests for a refund must be submitted via the Events Request for Change to existing event registration Form A refund, less the deposit (if applicable), will be issued up until 30 days prior to the event start date. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. After this time no refunds will be provided without medical documentation, or if extenuating circumstances (e.g., death in the family) apply. Refunds are provided via the same method used to pay for the event. For this reason, if you have paid using a prepaid Visa or Mastercard, we recommend that you retain the card for any future transactions. If an event is cancelled by the event planner, a full refund will be issued. The refund policy is subject to change.
