DESCRIPTION: \n  \n  \n ANY- Council OAL Adventure Spring Training \n  \n  \n Date: Saturday, May 30, 2026 - Sunday, May 31, 2026 \n  \n  \n Time: 9 a.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday \n  \n  \n Location: Calgary Guide Center \n  \n  \n Who: Adult Guiders \n  \n  \n Adult Guiders across ANY Council are welcome. \n  \n  \n Cost: $35 plus tax. \n  \n  \n Event Planner: Laurie M. \n  \n Type of Registration: Individual Registration \n  \n  \n Registration Open: April 11, 2026 at 9 a.m. MT  \n  \n  \n Registration Deadline: May 20, 2026 at 11:55 p.m. MT  \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n Have you completed the TEAM Tent Camping modules or have equivalent experience and are looking to expand your knowledge to the next step? Then this is for you! \n  \n The OAL Adventure Camping modules provide a formal training that will build your knowledge, skills and capacity for adventure camping which will enable you to meet the Safe Guide requirements for leading adventurous camping trips for girls. \n  \n Modules include Trip Design and Structure, Leadership Styles and Group Dynamics, Adventure Camping Gear and Adventure Camping Food. \n  \n The training will take place at the Calgary Guide Centre. We will work into Saturday evening to ensure we will be finished early in the afternoon on Sunday. \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n Additional Information: \n  \n  \n  \n 	Overnight Accommodation is available at the Guide Center for anyone needing accommodation on Friday May 29 and/or Saturday May 30th 2026. \n 	Meals: You are responsible for all meals except for Saturday supper which will be covered in the Adventure Camping Food module. You are encouraged to bring some snacks and alternatives if you have food allergies or restrictions. (Please make sure your food is peanut free). \n 	Participants in the in-person Adventure Camping trainings have priority registration in Guider-led backpacking/canoe trips for Module 8: Expeditions. \n 	Check with your district regarding reimbursement for Adult Guiders upon completion of the training. \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n   \n
