Remote First Aid

Please talk to your Area Training Advisor about available subsidies. You must get approval before taking the course to have any subsidies applied. 

BC Girl Guides offers a $100 subsidy for Remote and Wilderness First Aid for Guiders actively taking youth on activities more than 4 hours from EMS. You must get approval for the subsidy before taking the course. More information can be found here. 

This course offers a comprehensive training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for individuals residing or working in non-urban or remote workplaces or communities, as well as outdoor recreation enthusiasts. Participants will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively plan, prevent injuries, and ensure personal safety in remote settings. The course also covers strategies for providing extended care in remote locations for a duration of up to 24 hours. This training takes place outdoors, requiring participants to engage in higher levels of physical activity and endurance compare to standard first aid courses. 
Friday 6:00pm - 8:00pm 

Saturday and Sunday 8:30am - 6:30pm

Emergency First Aid 

Pathfinders and Rangers are welcome to join Adult Guiders to take this one-day first aid course.

Please talk to your Area Training Advisor about available subsidies. You must get approval before taking the course to have any subsidies applied. 

This basic one-day Emergency First Aid course is designed to provide participants with essential lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills. Ideal for the workplace or home, this course meets the legislative requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and follows the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. 
Saturday 8:30am - 4:00pm
