South Vancouver Island Area - Tent Camping Learning Path Training

Date: Friday, September 11, 2026 - Sunday, September 13, 2026

Time: 6 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Sunday

Location: Camp Jubilee 

Who: Rangers and Adult Guiders

Adult Guiders and Rangers across BC are welcome.

Cost: $75 tax included for SVI Area | $85 tax included for Members from outside SVI Area.

Districts will be invoiced for the registration fee in September.

Registration Deadline: August 31, 2026 at 11:55 p.m. PT 

Tent Camping Learning Path Training will be a in-person and virtual training session where participants will learn how to take girls to camp in Tents. All National training modules will be covered.   

Modules include Planning and Packing, Tents and Tarps, Kitchen and Cooking, Activities and program, Overnights.

Additional Information:

• Virtual Portion of the training - there will be a 1.5-hour pre-camp training session on-line about 10 days before the in-person portion. The exact date will be determined and communicated by August 15, 2026.
• In-Person Portion - Friday September 11, 2026 is not mandatory but is available as an option for participants who are travelling a long distance. If a participant does not want to camp on Friday night, they are expected to be on site by 8 a.m. on Saturday for a 9 a.m. training start. 
• Camp will take place rain or shine.
• Food for the weekend is included - this will be part of the training.
• All registered participants will be contacted after August 15, 2026, to confirm their registration and will be sent a kit list, arrival instructions and options for online session.
• Check with your district regarding reimbursement for Adult Guiders and Rangers upon completion of the training.
