Intermediate Tandem Lake Canoe Course 2026
When: Saturday August 15, 2026 & Sunday August 16, 2026

Paddle Canada's Intermediate Tandem Lake Canoe course is recognized as the minimum requirement to take GGC youth canoeing on near-shore, calm waterway with no current. This is a foundational course for other Paddle Canada courses, and requires some basic knowledge of canoeing. It is a two-day course under the direction of a Paddle Canada Instructor, at Calgary Area's Westover Lake Camp. Canoes and safety equipment are on site. This is a wilderness, walk-in camp site with minimal facilities. Dress for the weather including full rain gear. Minimum Requirement to attend this course: Intro to Tandem Lake Canoe Course or equivalent skills. • Overnight Camping may be available with a minimum number of 4 campers. 
• Please pack a nut-free lunch, snacks, and water.
